MEET JOE MCDANIEL

a fearless crusader ready to battle the entrenched Austin establishment and champion the unyielding values of East Texas.

Joe McDaniel, a dedicated father, grandfather, businessman, and community leader, has officially announced his candidacy for Texas House District 7. Poised to challenge the entrenched Austin establishment and champion the unwavering values of East Texas, McDaniel emerges as the frontrunner primary challenger to Jay Dean.

While others may cozy up to Austin, Joe McDaniel is here to put East Texas values front and center, standing tall as a true conservative warrior dedicated to protecting what matters most to East Texans. East Texas deserves a leader who prioritizes their values, someone who will listen and stand firmly for constituents and never bend to the whims of the liberal speaker. We need a true conservative advocate, not a rubber stamp for the Austin establishment.

Joe McDaniel’s family moved to Kilgore, Tx in 1962 to help establish Tri-State Fishing Tools and has deep ties to the region. Joe McDaniel has worked in and around the oil patch through several trucking, facility services, commercial construction, and his insurance businesses.  Kilgore isn't just a geographical location; it's the heart of East Texas—a place where the principles of hard work, family, and community resonate profoundly. McDaniel's upbringing amidst the natural landscapes of East Texas ingrained in him a deep commitment to preserving its core essence.

Driven by a deep commitment to mentoring and community betterment, Joe founded initiatives like “DiscipleWater” and “Lunch@thePark,” embodying his belief in serving others. His dedication led to the creation of “MyBr1dge” a mentoring program, and earned him recognition in the book “Unleashing the King in the Kid” for making a meaningful difference.

Joe McDaniel isn’t entrenched in the political bubble of Austin; he’s an outsider candidate with a relentless spirit and a commitment to amplifying East Texas values in the Capitol. He’s not one to settle or stay silent. Joe’s resilience mirrors the unyielding spirit of East Texas—a spirit he aims to bring to Austin, challenging the status quo and ensuring that Dade Phelan and Austin Establishment feel the unrelenting persistence that defines East Texas.

A departure from traditional politicians, Joe McDaniel, is not a product of political machinery or a legal background. He proudly identifies as a true East Texan, intimately acquainted firsthand with the struggles and pain that comes from life and triumphs of hard work. His natural inclination as a fighter has driven him to stand up for people's rights while exemplifying the virtues of respect and community service. Acknowledged as the Friendliest person in Kilgore by the Kilgore News-Herald, McDaniel's dedicated service includes roles on boards/committees for organizations such as Delta Waterfowl, Lions Club, AMBUCS, Rotary Club, Tyler Homeless Coalition and the Gregg County Boys and Girls Club, where he initiated the creation of the Kilgore Boys and Girls Club.
